Counseling Service

Professional counseling service for students with psychological and emotional needs will be provided by registered social workers of SAO. Our primary goal is to promote early identification and intervention before the problems develop or get worse. To achieve this, we work actively to promote the personal, relational and emotional development of students. They can seek advice from our counselors in a supportive atmosphere so as to enhance their self-understanding and try to find the resolution of their personal concerns. Students will also be referred to other community resources for further support as appropriate.

Some common issues handled through our counseling sessions include:
  • Emotional distress and mental health problems, e.g. depression, anxiety disorder and eating disorder
  • Family problems
  • Interpersonal relationship
  • Study and career development
  • Financial hardships
