Invitation: The International Diplomacy Forum 2019 - Bangkok, Thailand

Dear Students,

 

You are cordially invited to attend the International Diplomacy Forum 2019 at the United Nations Conference Centre (UNCC), Bangkok, Thailand, which will be held from 10 to 12 July 2019.

The International Diplomacy Forum (IDF) will host 450 talented young diplomats at a stimulating platform in the heart of Asia. The event will comprise of presentations and workshops that will sharpen leadership and communication skills with a focus on the art and science of effective diplomacy.

With sessions delivered by passionate experts, delegates will gain the tools to effectively engage with key stakeholders at significant moments in their future careers. The Forum will focus on challenging individual perspectives, broadening cultural horizons, and deepening a currently held knowledge of peace and conflict. Major themes such as smart diplomacy, digital diplomacy, diplomatic protocols and media relations will be explored and discussed.

Citing the famous quote from Kofi Annan, Former Secretary-General of the United Nations:

“From creating start-ups to igniting revolutions, young people have been toppling the old structures and processes that govern our world. Just imagine what solutions might be found if young people are given the space and encouragement to participate and to lead.”
