Dear Students,
You are cordially invited to join the Hong Kong Shared Good Values (HKSGV) 2020 Case Competition scheduled to take place between February and April 2020. It’s the fourth year that HKSGV is organising this programme to propagate the concept of doing good and doing well in businesses.
If you are interested in contributing ideas to senior management at Towngas, G For Goodby New World Development and The Millsby Nan Fung Group on how they may raise public understanding of clean energy, creating shared value business concepts, and the importance of heritage revitalisation and community engagement to business and social development in Hong Kong, join the HKSGV 2020 Case Competition!
2020 Case Partners & Case Questions
TOWNGAS Ride on Towngas' facilities or environmental strengths to develop an educational programme - one that is financially self-sustainable in the long run - to communicate the importance of clean energy and environmental sustainability to Hong Kong youths
G FOR GOOD Design a board game to introduce the concept of creating shared value (CSV) based on local and/ or international CSV business cases to corporates, NGOs, and members of the public for training purposes and come up with a business and marketing plan
THE MILLS by NAN FUNG GROUP The Mills features a unique tenant mix in experiential retail, maker culture and artisan dining. Devise strategies for us to 1) maximise value for our tenants through community engagement, which simultaneously serves the purpose of enhancing social cohesion; and 2) raise publicity on such initiatives of The Mills to create shared values.
Winners of the 2020 Case Competition will be given fast-track internship interview opportunities at the aforementioned companies in May or June 2020. Certificates will be offered to all participating teams while winners will be given cash prizes: Champion HK$10,000; First Runner-Up HK$4,000; Second Runner-Up HK$2,000.
Form a team of three to four people and apply on or before 16 February 2020 (Sunday), 23:59 HKT.
