TWC welcomed more than 700 new students to the College at its Inauguration Ceremony on 1 September 2017. O iciating at the ceremony, Ms. Ginny Man, Chairman of the Board of Governors, gave a welcoming speech to the freshmen. 東華學院於 2017 年 9 月 1 日舉行開學典禮，歡迎超過 700 位新同學加入成為學院一員。校董會主席文 頴 怡女士在典禮上致辭歡迎新生。 大事紀要 Highlights of the Year 開學典禮 Inauguration Ceremony 2017. 09 TWC launched the Bachelor of Education (Hons) in Early Childhood Education in 2017/2018, which made TWC become the first self-financing institution registered under the Post Secondary Colleges Ordinance (Cap 320) to o er teacher training degree programme. Graduates are approved by the Education Bureau for registration as Qualified Kindergarten Teachers. They are also recognised by the Social Welfare Department for registration as Child Care Workers and Child Care Supervisors under the Child Care Services Ordinance, and can work as Special Child Care Workers. 東華學院於 2017/2018 學年首辦幼兒教育 ( 榮譽 ) 教育 學士課程，成為全港首間根據《專上學院條例》 ( 第 320 章 ) 註冊而提供專業認可幼教學士課程的自資專 上學院。課程獲教育局及社會福利署認可，畢業生 可註冊為合格的幼稚園教師，亦符合幼兒工作員及 幼兒中心主管的註冊資格，並可成為特殊幼兒工作 員。 首屆幼兒教育學士學生入學 The First Intake of Early Childhood Education Degree Students 13
