Over the past 15 years, TWC has enjoyed remarkable growth. Thanks to the unwavering dedication of our staff and students, we continue to reach new heights and achieve significant breakthroughs. We have seen a steady increase in student enrollment over the past years; and we secured a record-high research funding exceeding $40 million in the last academic year. Notably, we have accomplished several “firsts” in recent years: our Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy and Radiation Therapy Programmes, are the first self-financing bachelor programme of the subject to gain professional recognition; and in 2024, we not only launched the city’s first self-financing Degree Programme in Medical Imaging but also established Hong Kong’s first Translational Research Centre for Digital Mental Health.
Our progress toward becoming a private university is promising. We have successfully completed the review of third Programme Area Accreditation in Social Sciences in January 2025 and plan to commission HKCAAVQ for the combined institutional reviews to become a private university and University of Applied Sciences. With the devotion and collective efforts of the TWC community, I am confident that we will establish ourselves as a highly regarded private university and University of Applied Sciences.
This year marks our 15th anniversary, with the theme “Leap into Dreams • Co-create a New Journey.” At TWC, we remain committed to empowering young people to pursue their dreams and make positive impacts on society by unleashing their full potential. Throughout this anniversary year, we will host a series of celebratory events to connect with our stakeholders and showcase our accomplishments. We warmly invite everyone to join us on this momentous journey.
