Biography
Professor Savio Szeto joined Tung Wah College in Jan 2023. He was the laboratory director of a spin off company of Hong Kong Baptist University and the senior scientific officer of Department of Chemistry, HKBU. He was also the laboratory manager of accredited laboratories in both Hong Kong and Macau. Professor Szeto has over 20 years of teaching experience in tertiary education. He took up adjunct positions at different universities, namely Hong Kong Polytechnic University, Macau University of Science and Technology and City University of Hong Kong. He was the programme leader at Hong Kong Institute of Vocational Education (Shatin) and associate professor at Macao Polytechnic Institute.
 
Professor Szeto has published over 60 refereed articles and his current research focuses on DNA protection by dietary antioxidants and environmental toxicology. He has supervised or co-supervised over 40 PhD or MSc students.
