Biography
Dr. Leonia Lau serves as an Assistant Professor at the School of Nursing, Tung Wah College. She is a registered nurse with substantial clinical experience in paediatric nursing (neonatal intensive care and special baby care) in both public and private hospitals. Dr. Lau obtained her Bachelor of Nursing from The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK), followed by Master of Public Health from The University of Hong Kong. She further completed her PhD degree in Public Health and received postdoctoral training at CUHK. Her research interest focuses on infectious diseases epidemiology and control, public health and primary health care, as well as neonatal and child health. Her research also includes using qualitative approach to understand the elderly's and patient’s lived experiences, resilience and coping strategies development.
