Mr. Harpreet SinghMr. Harpreet Singh
BHS (Hons) (Majoring in Nursing) Student
Awardee of Chick Ho Man Scholarship 2019
TWC's teachers are passionate and understand student needs. For example as I am not familiar with Chinese, I have certain difficulties in subjects like Chinese Medicine. But the teachers are considerate and did not feel bothered to explain the theories again and again. They even prepared an English exam for me. I will be on placement for 8 weeks this September and I sincerely hope it will equip me with practical knowledge to become a capable nurse to serve patients of Hong Kong in future.

Graduate of Associate of Health Studies (2014)
Currently a Registered Nurse in St. Teresa's Hospital
When I was a child, I witnessed how nurses took good care of patients in hospitals in several occasions. During my time at secondary school, I joined a charitable organisation, where I received basic training in first aid and home nursing techniques. These experiences inspired me to choose TWC’s nursing programme in the hope of helping patients through appropriate care. The knowledge and experience I gained in my clinical placement are very useful for my current role as an Operating Theatre Nurse.

Nursing is a tough profession, a physically, mentally and emotionally demanding career. Thanks to all the professors and mentors in TWC, I could learn professional nursing skills and knowledge step by step, and most importantly, develop a caring heart for patients. TWC also provides me with a lot of opportunities to grow and develop myself. My overseas learning experiences also broadened my horizons and made me become a competent nurse. Now I am a registered nurse and I have to handle many lives and deaths independently in the ward. I am proud to devote myself in such a meaningful profession.
