Dear Students,

According to the Student Handbook, full-time bachelor’s degree students are required to participate in at least EIGHT College Seminars before graduation. Each student can register for a maximum of FOUR College Seminars in an academic year, with a maximum of TWO seminars in Semester 1 and TWO seminars in Semester 2.

This e-mail serves as a reminder for you to register for the College Seminars in AY2024/25 Semester 1. Please log in to ePortfolio (Mahara System) for registration. You may refer to the attached poster, WILP Student Manual and important notes for detailed information.

In addition, please be reminded that mainland new students are required to participate in the Special Orientation Session (SOS) on either October 9 or 16. Kindly avoid registering for a College Seminar on the same day as the Special Orientation Session.

Important Notes

1. Each student could register for a maximum of FOUR college seminars in AY2024/25; maximum TWO seminars in Semester 1 and maximum TWO seminars in Semester 2.
2. Walk-ins are NOT accepted as attendance. However, students are always welcome to attend College Seminars when there are vacant seat(s) in the venue.
3. NO seminars will be available in AY2024/25 Semester 3.
4. Registration closes at 11:30 a.m. on each seminar day.
5. You could cancel the registered seminar before 11:00 a.m. on each seminar day to replenish the quota if you are unable to attend.
6. If you are absent from the registered seminar without cancelling it in advance, the quota will NOT be replenished.
7. Students who registered for face-to-face/online seminar(s) will receive an email reminder with venue details/Blackboard seminar details near noon on respective seminar day(s).
