Japan Study Tour for Physiotherapy and Occupational Therapy Programmes

On May 27 – June 5, 2026, Prof. Grace Szeto led a group of 8 Physiotherapy and 5 Occupational Therapy students to visit Japan. The first 5 days were spent in Iwaki Fukushima to visit the Iryo Sosei University (ISU), our host organization.

The PT and OT students were provided with a campus tour and a welcome lunch on Day 1. They attended PT and OT lectures provided by Prof. GOH Ah Cheng, the Acting President of ISU, as well as other professors in the PT and OT programmes. The group also had the opportunity to visit local elderly centre and hospitals in Iwaki and in Tokyo. The students enjoyed the learning experience very much and gained valuable knowledge about the Japanese healthcare services. They were able to practice their Japanese language first hand and made friends with the local teachers and students.
