15/09/2026

To foster international academic collaboration and advance occupational therapy education and research, Tung Wah College (TWC) has signed two Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) with two distinguished South Korean institutions: Yonsei University and Sangji University.

Established in 1885, Yonsei University is one of South Korea's oldest and most prestigious universities. As a member of the elite "SKY" university group, it is internationally renowned for its excellence in health sciences education and high-impact medical research. Sangji University, located in Wonju, is widely recognized for its practice-oriented education and strong expertise in health sciences, environmental studies, and traditional medicine.

On 21 August 2026, TWC was honoured to welcome Prof. PARK Ji-Hyuk, Associate Dean for Research of the College of Health Science and Chair of the Graduate Programme in Occupational Therapy at Yonsei University, together with Prof. HAN Dae-Sung, Senior Professor of Occupational Therapy at Sangji University, for the official MoU signing ceremony in Hong Kong.

Prior to the ceremony, the delegation toured TWC's state-of-the-art teaching and training facilities, including the laboratories for Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, Medical Laboratory Science, and Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy. The guests commended the College's advanced equipment, high-quality facilities, and comprehensive simulated learning environments that support hands-on professional training.

The MoU signing ceremony was officiated by Dr. George LAU, Vice President (Administration and Development) of Tung Wah College. The event was attended by Prof. Danny GOHEL, Associate Dean of the School of Medical and Health Sciences (MHS); Dr. Ben Yip, Programme Leader of Occupational Therapy; Dr. Anthony Kwok, Programme Leader of Physiotherapy; Dr. Jason Lam, Programme Leader of Medical Laboratory Science; Ms. Lavinia SIN, Associate Director of the International Partnerships and Exchange Office; Mr. Ray Li, Senior Clinical Associate of Occupational Therapy; and Ms. Ming LIU, Senior Clinical Associate of Occupational Therapy.

The ceremony concluded with a souvenir exchange to commemorate this significant partnership and reinforce the shared commitment to academic excellence and international collaboration. Both visiting professors expressed their sincere appreciation for the warm hospitality extended by TWC and MHS, and looked forward to future opportunities for collaboration in education, research, and student exchange.
