The appointee will support all aspects of academic activities including teaching of Forensic Science courses (e.g. Forensic DNA, Toxicology, Chemistry, Biomedical Criminalistics, Evidences and Crime Scene Investigations, Biomedical Science, and related courses), research, and consultancy; actively contribute to the planning, formulation and implementation of the College and School’s strategic direction and development; take a leading role and participate in programme development and validation exercises; contribute to academic and school administration; lead and supervise the work of academic staff involved in prescribed courses / programmes; take up responsibilities in academic and departmental administration and clinical teaching; guide / facilitate the College in enhancing its visibility and strengthening its local and international connections; build and develop an extensive network of contacts and colleagues to develop and enhance College market position and reputation; provide leadership in promoting good teaching and collaborative research; liaise with external bodies for job placements and professional development; perform scholarly activities; facilitate the development and enhancement of the discipline through quality research and publications including seeking external grants and raise the level of consultancies in respective discipline(s); oversee and perform academic activities including academic advising, examination and assessment, student recruitment, committee works, whole person development activities of students; undertake professional service to external professional body / organization and provide public services to the community.
For Associate Professor / Assistant Professor position, applicants should possess a PhD degree / Professional Doctorate in a relevant discipline with sufficient years of relevant experience in teaching in the tertiary education sector, programme development and programme leadership; publications in journals (desirably with international reputation) and with high impact in the relevant discipline; and demonstration as an active researcher.
For Senior Lecturer position, applicants should possess a Master’s degree in a relevant discipline with sufficient years of relevant experience in teaching in the tertiary education sector, or a PhD degree / Professional Doctorate in a relevant discipline with some relevant experience.
Salary will be competitive and commensurate with qualifications and experience.
