The appointee will be responsible for supporting the financial accounting functions of the College. The main duties of the position include but are not limited to the following:
- Lead a team to deliver a comprehensive range of accounting and financial management services, including overseeing the financial accounting (e.g. general ledger, accounts receivable), management accounting, and cash management functions in the College.
- Lead the system implementation for the accounts receivable module of the Student Information System of the Higher Education Enterprise Resources Planning System.
- Develop and implement the College’s Financial Policy and Regulations, providing reasonable assurance that the College’s assets are safeguarded.
- Review audited financial statements, including relevant notes and supplementary information, to ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
- Develop financial plans and analyses for initial programme proposals and provide financial insights and recommendations to senior management.
- Develop and review management reports, including the annual budget, financial forecast, financial analyses, and periodic financial appraisals of regular programmes, short courses, and projects.
- Support administrative works for Committees under the purview of the Finance Office by preparing meeting papers and minutes.
- Supervise and mentor staff in the Finance Office, including recruiting, training, and manpower planning.
- Performing any other duties as assigned by his/her supervisors.
Applicants should:
- Hold a recognized bachelor’s degree with professional accounting qualifications.
- Have a minimum of 10 years of experience in Finance & Accounting, with supervisory exposure, preferably gained in tertiary institutions.
- Possess solid experience in financial and management reporting, with a good understanding of accounting standards.
- Demonstrate strong time management, organizational, team leadership, and interpersonal skills.
- Exhibit sound analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Be proficient in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and accounting software, preferably SAP and Accpac.
- Be capable of working independently and under pressure, with the ability to multitask.
- Be fluent in spoken and written English and Chinese.
Salary will be competitive and commensurate with qualifications and experience.
