Reporting to the President, the Associate Director of the Institutional Partnership and Engagement Office (IPEO) will focus on internationalisation, industry partnerships, and community engagement. The IPEO is a new office that aims to enhance TWC's reach, support educational opportunities, and address societal challenges with innovative solutions.

 

Duties
  • Develop strategies to promote internationalisation and diversity by recruiting non-local students, implementing exchange programmes/projects to encourage student mobility, and proactively establishing strategic global partnerships with various stakeholders.
  • Cultivate partnerships with industries to optimize their support, collaborate closely with Schools and Administrative Units to promote interdisciplinary synergy, and enhance TWC's branding locally and globally.
  • Leverage networks and resources to foster collaborations and facilitate knowledge exchange, educational advancement, and industry-academia-research cooperation.
  • Strengthen TWC’s connection and relationship with the local community, create synergies with Schools to positively impact TWC and the community.
  • Initiate programmes to encourage the inclusive participation of students and staff to address the needs of the diverse community.
  • Proactively initiate continuous improvements in guidelines, procedures, and workflows in relevant practices to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Collaborate closely with the Senior Management to provide constructive advice on negotiating agreements between TWC and its partners.
  • Perform any other duties as assigned by the President.

 

Requirements

Applicants should have:

  • A recognised master’s degree at a minimum
  • At least ten years of substantial and pertinent experience, acquired within the tertiary education sector.
  • Demonstrate a thorough understanding of the College's strategic development and offer actionable insights.
  • Proven experience in internationalisation, industry and community engagement, including 1) developing strategies to drive non-local student recruitment; 2) increasing students’ mobility; 3) soliciting funding support for education advancement and industry-academia-research cooperations; 4) fostering collaborations with industries; and 4) strengthening connection with the local community;
  • Expertise in academic quality assurance, admissions, and institutional agreements;
  • Show self-motivation, high ethics, responsibility, and collaboration with Schools and Administrative Units to achieve positive outcomes;
  • Strong organisational skills, perseverance, and leadership abilities facilitate effective engagement with various stakeholders.
  • An extensive network to drive collaborations for the College's benefit;
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, presentation, and problem-solving skills; and
  • Proficient in oral and written English and Chinese; Putonghua fluency is a plus.

 

Salary will be competitive and commensurate with qualifications and experience.
