Reporting to the Vice President, Administration and Development, the appointee will be required but not limited to:
- Hold the overall responsibility for the strategic direction, development, execution, and upkeep of the College’s IT strategy and environment, IT related policies, ensuring alignment with the College’s mission, vision, and strategic goals;
- Develop and manage the College’s IT resources, plans, and budgets to support ongoing improvements in programmes, teaching, learning, research and cybersecurity;
- Oversee and review the college's cybersecurity posture, including conducting comprehensive security evaluations and developing mitigation strategies to protect the College’s digital assets;
- Promote IT services and cybersecurity to staff and students, enhancing their IT literacy, security awareness and utilization for better educational and administrative outcomes;
- Formulate, implement, and review the College’s IT policies, regulations, and guidelines to ensure operational efficiency, compliance with relevant laws, and adherence to best practices;
- Supervise the planning, execution, and completion of IT projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget;
- Lead the ITSO team, motivating staff to deliver high-quality IT services and executing effective cybersecurity management strategies; and
- Perform any other duties as assigned by the President or his/her delegates.
Applicants should have:
- A recognised bachelor’s degree at a minimum in Information Technology/Computer Science or a related discipline;
- At least 15 years of progressive leadership experience in the information technology industry across a variety of platforms, software architecture and business domains; and substantial senior management experience in higher education sector;
- An understanding of Tung Wah College’s strategic development;
- Strong analytical skills and project management skills;
- Solid experience in managing all aspects of IT operation in a fully integrated environment;
- Strong leadership skills, result-oriented, resourceful, proactive, able to multi-task with high adaptability;
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; and
- Good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese.
Salary will be competitive and commensurate with qualifications and experience.
