Reporting to the Vice President, Administration and Development, the appointee will be required but not limited to:
- Lead the full spectrum of functions within the Facilities Management Office of the College;
- Play strategic and operational roles in the overall management of the College’s estates and facilities, capital works, campus expansion and projects development, administrative functions and support, and other related aspects;
- Spearhead the development and implementation of comprehensive strategic plans within the Facilities Management Office;
- Oversee campus expansion and development projects, infrastructure upgrades, facilities maintenance within budgetary constraints;
- Collaborate closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure compliance with regulatory standards, implement quality assurance measures, and promote sustainability initiatives that uphold environmental stewardship and enhance the overall campus experience; and
- Perform any other duties as assigned by President or his/her delegates.
The appointee should have:
- A recognised bachelor’s degree at a minimum in Facilities Management, Architecture, Engineering, or a related field;
- Full membership in relevant professional body(ies);
- At least 15 years of progressive leadership experience in facilities and estates management, with a record of managing complex projects, including budget oversight, resource allocation, and stakeholder engagement in an educational or similar institutional setting; and substantial senior management experience in the higher education sector;
- Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing strategic plans for facilities management that align with the College’s goals and in enhancing operational efficiency;
- An understanding of Tung Wah College’s strategic development;
- An in-depth understanding of relevant building codes, safety regulations, and sustainability practices, with experience in ensuring compliance and promoting environmental stewardship within campus facilities;
- Strong communication skills to effectively engage with all levels of staff, along with the ability to motivate colleagues effectively; and
- Good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese.
Salary will be competitive and commensurate with qualifications and experience.
