The appointee will be required but not limited to:
- assist in the design, development, and enhancement of application systems, including the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system, Student Information System and related applications;
- support the College’s operations in areas such as finance, human resources, admissions, and student administration;
- participate in system implementation activities, including gathering user requirements, supporting system integration testing, user acceptance testing and user training;
- assist in preparing technical documentation, test plans, and user manuals;
- perform data services, including data analysis, report generation and supporting data interfaces;
- apply automation techniques to streamline routine operational tasks; and
- carry out any additional duties as assigned by the Head or their delegates.
Applicants should:
- possess a recognized bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline;
- have relevant working experience in application development and support, with experience in ERP systems (e.g. SAP) or Student Information Systems in a higher education environment being advantageous;
- be proficient in at least one programming language such as ABAP, PHP, Python, C#, or VB.NET is required, with experience in developing RESTful APIs and basic front-end technologies (e.g., HTML, JavaScript, jQuery, CSS) considered valuable;
- have basic knowledge of SQL databases (e.g., MySQL, MS SQL), Microsoft Excel macros and a sound understanding of object-oriented programming concepts;
- be familiarity with Microsoft Windows Server and Linux systems;
- preferably have experience with process automation tools (e.g., UiPath, Selenium) and version control systems (e.g., Git);
- possess good analytical and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to communicate effectively; and
- be self-motivated and able to work independently, while collaborating effectively with the team on project tasks.
Salary will be competitive and commensurate with qualifications and experience.
