Following President Professor Sally Chan’s interview on Commercial Radio 1’s programme Tung Wah College’s New Chapter last week, this week’s episode features Professor Rick Kwan, Associate Vice-President (Academic) cum Associate Dean (Programme) of the School of Nursing, and Professor Lorna Suen, Dean of the School of Nursing, who shared insights into the distinctive strengths and future development of the TWC School of Nursing.
Professor Kwan and Professor Suen introduced how the School upholds the caring spirit of Tung Wah Group of Hospitals and the aspiration in nurturing nursing professionals with practical competence and a sense of social responsibility. They also discussed how the School integrates applied research with clinical practice and how the School enhances students’ learning journey through its advanced teaching facilities.
The two professors also shared the School’s latest developments with the public, including the launch of Hong Kong’s first self-financing Doctor of Philosophy in Nursing programme last December, as well as the incorporation of artificial intelligence and health information technology into teaching and research.
