TWC held its first Honorary Fellowship Conferment Ceremony on 6 October 2022, conferring four distinguished individuals, namely Professor Fung Yuk Kuen Sylvia, Dr. Ko Wing Man, Dr. Joseph Lee Chung Tak, and Dr. Walton Li Wai Tat, in recognition of their contributions to TWC and society. 

The ceremony was officiated by Mr. Philip Ma Ching-yeung, Chairman of Tung Wah Group of Hospitals Board of Directors 2022/2023 cum Chairman of Board of Governors of TWC. Mr. Ma, as well as Mrs. Viola Chan Man Yee-Wai, Chairman of College Council of TWC, and Professor Sally Chan, President of TWC delivered speeches for the Ceremony.

The ceremony is presided by Professor Alex CHAN Chi Keung, Dean of the School of Arts and Humanities of TWC (back row, left 1). Citation of the Honorary Fellowship recipients is delivered by Professor Lorna SUEN Kwai Ping, Dean of the School of Nursing (back row, right 1); Mr. Felix LEUNG Kang Wai, Vice-President (Administration & Development) (front row, right 1); Professor Albert TEO Chu Ying, Dean of the School of Management (back row, left 2); and Professor Matthew YAU Kwai Sang, Acting Vice President (Academic) (back row, right 2) respectively.

Professor Chan extended congratulations and thanked the Honorary Fellowship recipients for supporting the College, looking forward to the continuous support and guidance from them and stakeholders as TWC moves forward to achieve our strategic goal of becoming a quality private university.

Speaking on behalf of the four Honorary Fellowship recipients, Dr. Ko Wing Man commended TWC’s widely pursued professionally accredited allied health and nursing degree programmes for their exceptional quality and for nurturing students to become capable, responsible, and caring professionals.
