Led by Dr. Tony Ko Pat-sing, Chief Executive of the Hospital Authority (HA), Dr. Simon Tang, Director (Cluster Services); Mr. Lawrence Poon, Chief Manager (Nursing); Ms. Karen Mak, Senior Manager (Allied Health); and Ms. Priscilla Poon, Deputising Chief Manager (Allied Health) / Senior Manager (Allied Health / Medical Fee Assistance) visited Tung Wah College (TWC) on 10 March 2023.

HA representatives were received by Mr. Philip Ma, Chairman of Tung Wah Group of Hospitals (TWGHs) Board of Directors 2022/2023 cum the then Board of Governors of TWC; Mrs. Viola Chan Man Yee-wai, BBS, Chairman of College Council of TWC; Professor Sally Chan, President of TWC, and the College Management Team, as well as Mr. Albert Su Yau-on, Chief Executive of TWGHs.

The honourable guests were given a tour of campus facilities, including virtual reality, nursing, physiotherapy, and medical science laboratories, with demonstration of the uses of the advanced teaching facilities conducted by the academic staff. TWC showcased its proactive introduction of advanced medical equipment and systems and the increased application of technology in our programmes in recent years, with the aim to nurture more quality talents for the medical and healthcare sector and the wellbeing of the society by exhibiting their expertise.



Professor Chan and the Deans introduced the latest developments and achievements of the College, and TWC’s efforts in fighting COVID-19. A discussion on clinical practicum and future collaboration was conducted with the HA representatives, with the prospect of working closely to make more positive contributions for promoting the medical and healthcare development in Hong Kong.
