Professor Sally Chan, President of TWC, together with Professor Alex Chan, Dean of the School of Arts and Humanities, Professor Lorna Suen, Dean of the School of Nursing, Professor Rick Kwan, Associate Dean (Programmes) of the School of Nursing and Ms. Queenie Wong, Head of President’s Office, paid a visit to Guangzhou Huashang College (Huashang) and Guangzhou International Economics College (GIEC) during 28-29 April to meet with the management of two Schools and exchange views on programme development, student exchanges and nurturing talents, etc.

The delegation visited Huashang and was given a tour of their Medicine & Health Science College on 28 April. Professor Sally Chan and Professor Rick Kwan were invited to deliver a talk to nearly a hundred students and teachers from Huashang on the topics of “Education 4.0: Healthcare Education and the future of Healthcare Work” and “Cultivation Mode of Nursing Talents in Hong Kong” respectively to introduce the nursing education development in Hong Kong.

Moreover, the delegation paid a visit to the Guangzhou International Economics College (GIEC) on 29 April and was given a tour to the newly established Tangtang Campus of GIEC to learn more about their development in international education. The representatives of GIEC visited TWC in return on 2 May and signed a MoU to foster the collaborations on joint programmes and student exchanges, as well as providing articulation pathway for the graduates of GIEC. The MoU was signed by the Professor Sally Chan of TWC and Professor Colin Hong, the President of GIEC. Professor Chan sincerely thanked GIEC for their hospitality and visit to TWC to further strengthen their partnership for developing the programmes at different levels in the future.
