News & EventsTWC-OT Year-1 students field visits22/05/2025To provide opportunities for our first-year TWC Occupational Therapy (OT) students to understand the various roles and functions of occupational therapists, they are scheduled to have their first clinical practicum course in Year 1, Semester 3. This course includes visits to various healthcare settings, such as public hospitals, NGOs, and private sector facilities. On May 22, June 5, and June 6, 2025, our OT students visited the New Life Psychiatric Rehabilitation Association, Hong Chi Association, and Heep Hong Society, respectively. These visits provided them with valuable insights into the OT intervention process across different clinical environments. We would like to express our gratitude to the New Life Psychiatric Rehabilitation Association, Hong Chi Association, and Heep Hong Society for welcoming our students and delivering comprehensive presentations on their organizational backgrounds, services offered, and the roles and responsibilities of OTs within NGO settings.
Year 1 students from the TWC OT program thoroughly enjoyed their field visits to Heep Hong Society, Hong Chi Association, and New Life Psychiatric Rehabilitation Association during their first clinical placement, CE1A. The students wish to express their gratitude to these organizations, particularly to the Senior OTs who organized insightful tours of their premises, introducing the students to their organizational background and mission, OT roles, and services. The feedback from the students was overwhelmingly positive, and they were impressed by the variety of OT services provided for children with learning diversities, psychiatric clients, and vocational training for individuals with intellectual disabilities.
