Dear Students,
On behalf of the Centre for Academic and Professional Language Enhancement (CAPLE), we would like to invite you to join our Peer Language Mentorship Programme.
The programme aims at promoting collaborative peer learning and enhancing English learning effectiveness among Tung Wah College (TWC) students. Since June 2016, over 40 students have joined the programme as either Language Mentors or Mentees, and we are currently recruiting new members for this academic year.
You may enroll as a Language Mentor if you have attained an overall IELTS Band 6.5 or above, or Level 4 or above in English Language in the HKDSE examination, or other academic qualifications deemed equivalent. Language Mentors
- can gain Community Service (CS) hours through helping their mentees with their English learning;
- will be awarded certificates of recognition upon successful completion of the programme.
You may join the programme as a Language Mentee if you would like to have more practice in English. Language Mentees
- can receive free individual learning support;
- will be awarded certificates of participation after having completed the programme.
Whether you join the programme as a Language Mentor or Mentee, you can be sure you will have fun learning and making new friends. In addition, students can earn CS hours in a fun, easy and meaningful way.
