Dear Students,

In view of the situation of the novel coronavirus outbreak, the College has further reviewed the teaching arrangements and the Academic Calendar. After consideration, it has been decided that the following adjustments will be made to the schedules of Semester 2 and Semester 3 of 2019/2020:

1)      On-campus classes will continue to be suspended after March 1. Classes will resume on March 16 (instead of March 2). On-line teaching will continue to be offered during the suspension period.

2)      Practicums will be suspended until further notice.

3)      Semester 2 classes will be extended for 2 weeks to May 2 (instead of ending on April 18) to give more time for teaching and revisions. Final examinations will be held from May 5 to May 19. Schools may waive the final examinations of some courses (e.g. some of the GE and language courses). Students will be informed of the list as soon as possible.

4)      Semester 3 classes will be deferred for one week to start on June 8 and end on July 25 (instead of running from June 1 to July 18). Final examinations will be held from July 28 to August 4.

The difficulties that we are facing now are unprecedented. Class suspension and adjustments to the Academic Calendar are difficult decisions as some of our students’ graduation may be delayed. We appreciate your understanding and co-operation. The College will continue to monitor the situation closely. In case the above schedule is not possible because of health and safety concerns, the College will make alternative arrangements and inform students as soon as possible.
