Special Work Arrangements from 17 February 2020 to 23 February 202014/02/2020

In view of the latest situation of the novel coronavirus (2019-nCOV) and with the aim of safeguarding the health of staff members, the College management has decided to extend the special work from home arrangements till 23 February 2020 except those staff members
a. who are responsible for providing emergency and essential services; or
b. who are required to work in the office to meet operational needs.
Colleagues working from home are reminded to check their emails regularly and make themselves available to communicate with phone calls during the normal office hours.
On the advice of the Department of Health, colleagues who have visited the Mainland China should self-quarantine for 14 days upon their return. Those who have developed a fever or feel unwell should seek medical consultation immediately and take sick leave.
Colleagues are also advised to check the updated information on the novel coronavirus disease from the website of the Centre for Health Protection (CHP) of HKSAR Government https://www.chp.gov.hk/en/features/102465.html. As a precautionary measure, colleagues who are residing in the same buildings as those published by the CHP in the “List of buildings in which confirmed cases of novel coronavirus infection have stayed during the symptomatic phase in the past 14 days” should also undergo 14 days of self-quarantine. The list can be downloaded from the hyperlink https://www.chp.gov.hk/files/pdf/building_list_chi.pdf and enquiries can be made through the CHP hotline 21251122. Colleagues should inform their respective Unit Heads and the Human Resources Office (firstname.lastname@example.org) if they need to undergo self-quarantine.
The College management will continue to monitor the situation closely and make timely announcements if necessary.
