The Board of Governors of Tung Wah College (TWC) announced the appointment of Mr. Leung Kang Wai, Felix, as the College’s new Vice President (Administration & Development) with a five-year term of office from 2 August 2021.

Mr. Leung is an all-rounded professional executive with extensive senior management experience in tertiary education institutions.  He was recently Administrative Vice President of Hong Kong Shue Yan University (“HKSYU”) from July 2016 to June 2020. Mr. Leung joined the University as Associate Academic Vice President (Strategic Planning) in September 2014 and was promoted to Administrative Vice President in July 2016. During his tenure with HKSYU, Mr. Leung led the University to make significant achievements in a wide range of areas such as strategic planning, international collaboration, student development and campus facilities management.

Prior to joining HKSYU, between 2008 and 2014, Mr. Leung was the Director of Hong Kong Art School, an accredited institute for art education with academic award bearing programmes, where he successfully led the School to achieve prudent growths in financial capacity.

Mr. Leung was also formerly the Principal Registrar of Hong Kong Council for Accreditation of Academic and Vocational Qualifications (“HKCAAVQ”). Between 1997 and 2007, he conducted and advised on over 350 institutional reviews and degree/sub-degree programme validations and revalidations; and assessed over 180 Australian, British and mainland Chinese university courses seeking registration under the Non-local Higher and Professional Education (Regulation) Ordinance in Hong Kong.

Mr. Leung received his Bachelor of Arts degree from the Manchester Metropolitan University, Graduate Certificate in Educational Studies and Master in Education from The University of Manchester, and Master of Business Administration from the Australian National University.

TWC welcomes Mr. Leung to the College, and is confident that with his broad and extensive experience, he will assist the President in leading TWC to achieve its goal of becoming a Hong Kong based private university with a global outlook.

The Board of Governors would also like to express their sincerest gratitude to Mr. Patrick Ho for his dedication and contributions to the College for serving as the Acting Vice President (Administration & Development) over the past two years.
