Dr Nicola Mok, Chief Physiotherapist for the HK Team in the Paris Paralympics Games
24/08/2024

Thanks to the support of TWC, which enables me to attend the Paris 2024 Summer Paralympic Games. There was a total of 69 delegates to support 23 athletes to compete in 8 sports. Team Hong Kong won 3 golds, 4 silver and 1 bronze in 4 sports. The Sports Science and Medical Team consists of 1 Medical Officer, 5 Physiotherapists and 1 Sports Psychologist provided round the clock service to the team throughout our stay between 24 August to 9 September 2024. As a team physiotherapist, our prime role is to make sure every athlete competes in their best form possible. A lot of hardwork really, but it all paid off when the athletes finished their competition with the best result possible. After 17 long working days and an average of 4.5 hrs of sleep each night, I lost 2kg of weight upon my return home.
