Prof. WU, an accomplished nursing professional, she is a former Dean and Professor of the School of Nursing and Dean of the Clinical Nursing College at Capital Medical University in Beijing, China. Her contributions extend internationally, including roles as a board member of International Council of Nurses (INC), Vice President of International Medical Informatics Association, and President of Asia Pacific Association for Medical Informatics. She has received recognition for her work, including the title of "Beijing Municipality Renowned Teacher" and honorary titles from the University of Pittsburgh and Deakin University.

Currently, Prof. WU holds influential positions in nursing education and research in China. She leads the Nursing Discipline Group and Discipline Appraisal Group at the Academic Degrees Committee of the State Council of China. Additionally, she chairs the Working Commission for Accreditation of Nursing Education and serves as Vice Chair of the Steering Committee for Higher Nursing Education under the China Ministry of Education.
