TWC and HSUHK organise International Conference on Emerging Technologies in English Language Education

Tung Wah College (TWC) and The Hang Seng University of Hong Kong (HSUHK) co-organised the International Conference on “Emerging Technologies in English Language Education in the 21st Century: Addressing the Present and Envisioning the Future”, from 19 to 21 June 2024. The Conference brought together researchers, educators, and practitioners from across the globe to delve into the profound impact of technology on English language education.

The three-day Conference featured a diverse range of sessions including keynote speeches, research presentations, and a roundtable discussion. Keynote Speakers from esteemed academic institutions were invited, including the University of Alberta, Canada, Victoria University of Wellington, New Zealand, University of Southern Queensland, Australia, and Tsinghua University, Beijing.

The Conference welcomed 79 delegates from 18 regions, including Australia, New Zealand, the USA, Canada, the UK, Sweden, Mainland China, Hong Kong, Singapore, Taiwan, Vietnam, Japan, Thailand, Iran, Nepal, Saudi Arabia, India, and the Philippines. Additionally, over 240 participants, comprising of staff, students, researchers, and colleagues from TWC, HSUHK, and other local, mainland, and international institutions joined the Conference.
