Biography:
Professor Fuk-hay Tang joined Tung Wah College on 28th August 2018. Before joining the College, he has been appointed as Professor and Associate Professor overseas and locally. He has been the Professor in Medical Imaging at the Charles Sturt University, the Honorary Professor of Shantou University China and Adjunct Associate Professor of the Department of Health Technology and Informatics at the Hong Kong Polytechnic University. He received his PhD degree in Computer Science in 2000 and elected as the Fellow of Hong Kong College of Radiographers and Radiation Therapists in 2009. He has been working as a qualified Diagnostic Radiographer until 1994 and thereafter he joined the Hong Kong Polytechnic University until 2015 and Charles Sturt University (CSU) in 2017.  Other than his teaching in medical imaging, Professor Tang was the pioneer driver of the Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS) in Hong Kong since 1999. His pioneering works in Mobile PACS was recognized by the international RSNA  award (Chicago,2003), World Eureka Invention Expo Award (Brussels, 2004) and HIMSS-Elsevier Digital Health Award (Singapore, 2013). He has served as the Hong Kong Government Food and Health Bureau Grant Reviewer Board member, editorial board member of International Journal of Radiology & Medical Imaging, a Board Examiner and member of education committee of the Radiographers Board.
