Biography:
Dr. Jacky Wong is the Associate Professor at School of MHS and the program leader of Bachelor of Science in Radiation Therapy in Tung Wah College. After he earned his bachelor’s degree from The Hong Kong Polytechnic University and became a qualified radiotherapy professional in 1999, he began his career as a radiation therapist in Australia, gaining extensive experience over a decade. In 2009, he returned to Hong Kong and joined the Hong Kong Sanatorium Hospital. During this time, he became a certified Medical Dosimetrist (2010) and was awarded a fellowship by the Hong Kong College of Radiographers and Radiation Therapists (HKCRRT) in 2012.

From 2015 to 2019, he was seconded as a full-time Senior Lecturer to support education of radiation therapy professionals at TWC. Currently, he is the Faculty Director of Medical Dosimetry and Vice President (Professional Practice) for the Hong Kong College of Radiographers and Radiation Therapists HKCRRT, where he aims to advance the field through education, research, and professional practice.

As a vibrant academic, he has presented at numerous local and international conferences and published in respected academic journals, demonstrating my dedication to advancing patient care and professional standards in radiation therapy. His main area of research interest is the application of machine learning in radiation therapy to achieve precision medicine.
