Biography
Dr. Tam is an Assistant Professor of the School of Medical and Health Sciences at Tung Wah College. Before joining Tung Wah College in 2023, he has been a Research Assistant Professor in Department of Health Technology and Informatics at the Hong Kong Polytechnic University. He has also been a Visiting Scholar in Department of Micro Engineering at the Kyoto University, Japan. He has experiences in supervising undergraduate and secondary school students for research mentoring programs and final year projects. Dr. Tam’s research interests include colorectal cancer, tumor microenvironment, personalized radiotherapy and radiation protection. His major research field focuses on the treatment and post-treatment care of colorectal cancer, including in vitro, in vivo and clinical levels. To date, he has published more than 25 peer-reviewed journal papers and conference abstracts with more than 10 publications acting as first/corresponding author. His publications have received more than 1300 citations with h-index of 11. He has also served as topical advisory panel, guest editor and reviewer of several peer-reviewed journals.
