Course Description:
Postpartum dietary supplementation and the use of Chinese herbal medicine have long been integral to Hong Kong’s cultural practices. A thorough understanding of the underlying principles of commonly used herbal formulations and associated safety considerations is essential for nurses and postpartum care professionals delivering high-quality care.
 
This course is designed within the Hong Kong cultural context and aims to enhance participants’ understanding of traditional Chinese herbal practices in postpartum recovery. Emphasis will be placed on delivering safe, evidence-informed, and woman-centred care that meets the needs of local mothers.
