Biography

Ms. Karen Shek obtained her Bachelor of Nursing from The University of Hong Kong. She attained her Master of Nursing and finished her Post-registration Certificate Course in Ophthalmology Nursing in 2012.

Throughout her service in the healthcare sector, she obtained experience in various specialist areas, including Operating Theatre and Eye Specialty Clinics. She joined a newly established private hospital in 2016 and was appointed as a Clinical Assessor within Specialty Outpatient Department to take up the role of a nursing skills competency assessor for staff and provide mentorship for newcomers in the specialty.

Besides, she strongly supported the humanitarian work of Hong Kong Red Cross and joined as a volunteer member since middle school. She further contributed her nursing profession in serving the community by participating in overseas medical and surgical disaster relief or rehabilitation trips in different places such as Java, Indonesia and Sichuan, China.

She joined School of Nursing of Tung Wah College as a Senior Clinical Associate in 2021, wishing to dedicate her effort to train up the new generation of nursing professionals.
