Admission Requirements & Background
  • Q: What are the academic background requirements for admission?
    A: Applicants must hold a Bachelor’s degree (or an equivalent qualification at HKQF Level 5) in Healthcare, Information Technology, Management, or a related discipline. For more details regarding admission requirements, please refer to our General Information section.


Language of Instruction & Requirements
  • Q: What is the medium of instruction for the MSHSM programme?
    A: The MSHSM programme offers two different modes of medium of instruction, including using English as Medium of Instruction and using Chinese as Medium of Instruction (Putonghua). Student can choose only one mode where appropriate.
     
  • Q: Do I need to submit English language proficiency scores (e.g., IELTS/TOEFL) to apply?
    A: Only required for applications for the programme using English as Medium of Instruction (EMI). Please refer to the details at Admission Requirements in General Information
     
  • Q: Can students switch between the Chinese and English modes, or mix modules from both?
    A: No, students have to decide on the mode of medium of instruction during their application to the programme.


Application Timeline & Procedures
  • Q: What is the application timeline for the September 2026 intake?
    A:
    Applications for the September 2026 intake are now open. Please submit your application through our online application system.

    Note: We process applications on a rolling basis for the September Intake, so we highly encourage you to submit your application as early as possible.
     
  • Q: Will there be an interview process?
    A: Yes. Shortlisted applicants will be invited to attend an interview. Details regarding the interview schedule and arrangements will be communicated via email.
     
  • Q: How do I apply for the programme?
    A: Applicants must submit their applications through our online admission application system. Upon receiving an admission offer, applicants must accept it via the online system and pay the tuition by the specified deadline to secure their place.


Tuition Fees
  • Q: How much is the tuition fee for the MSHSM programme?
    A: The tuition fee for local students of the 2026/27 cohort is HK$168,000 for 1-year full-time study, and HK$84,000 for Year 1 and $85,175 for Year 2 for the 2-years part-time study. As for non-local students, the tuition fee is HK$193,200 for 1-year full-time study, and HK$96,600 for Year 1 and HK$97,952 for Year 2 for the 2-years part-time study. 


Class arrangement and Venues
  • Q. Where will the classes be held?
    A: Face-to-face classes are normally held at the Tsim Sha Tsui Campus of Tung Wah College and are arranged on weekdays and weekends. Full-time students usually attend two to three days classes in a week.
     
  • Q: How many semesters are there for a year of study? 
    A: There are three semesters in total for a year of study. 


Course Exemption/Credit Transfer
  • QI have a relevant postgraduate diploma already, can I apply for course exemption or credit transfer?
    A:There is mechanism for students to apply for course exemption/credit transfer on an individual basis. Please contact your Programme Leader or the Graduate Research Office to discuss the matter. 


Programme Overview & Accreditation
  • Q: Is the Master of Smart Health Service Management (MSHSM) an officially accredited programme at TWC?
    A: Yes, the Master of Smart Health Service Management (MSHSM) is fully registered and recognized under the Hong Kong Qualifications Framework (HKQF). (Qualifications Register Number: _____).
     
  • Q: Will the master's degree certificate awarded upon graduation from this programme be accredited by the Chinese Service Center for Scholarly Exchange (CSCSE) of the Ministry of Education of the Mainland?
    A: Tung Wah College is officially listed among the recognized Hong Kong higher education institutions by the Ministry of Education of the People's Republic of China. All accredited programmes offered by the College are eligible for qualification accreditation by the Chinese Service Center for Scholarly Exchange (CSCSE). As this is a newly launched programme, please check directly with the CSCSE for the most up-to-date and accurate information.
