Public Consultation of the Next 5-year Strategic Plan (2021/2022 – 2025/2026) of TWC
Tung Wah College (TWC) values opinions from the public to propel its long-term development. As the current 5-year Strategic Plan (2016/2017 – 2020/2021) will end in August 2021, the College Management of TWC is now devising the next 5-year Strategic Plan (2021/2022 – 2025/2026) to identify the key strategies and directions that the College would work on to achieve the goal to become a private university in the long run. A new round of public consultation is therefore conducted.
The following are the key achievements of the current 5-year Strategic Plan (2016/2017 - 2020/2021):
  • Attainment of professional accreditations for the Bachelor’s degree programmes in occupational therapy, medical laboratory science and radiation therapy;
  • Successful launch of new programmes, including the Bachelor of Education (Hons) in Early Childhood Education, Bachelor of Science (Hons) in Physiotherapy and Bachelor of Management (Hons) in Social and Business Sustainability;
  • A healthy increase in student population despite a shrinking HKDSE population, reaching over 2,800 as at September 2019;
  • A rise in subsidised places of the Study Subsidy Scheme for Designated Professions / Sectors (SSSDP) from 200 in 2016/2017 to 710 in 2021/2022, signifying government recognition of TWC’s programmes;
  • Establishment of Kwai Hing Campus in Kowloon Commerce Centre, Kwai Hing
  • Accreditation Approval for the first Programme Area Accreditation (PAA) in Occupational Therapy;
  • Expanded collaboration with various local and overseas partners.
The College counts on your support and valuable suggestions for continuous development. Please do not hesitate and share your ideas with us by filling in the form here on or before 28 February 2021.
