Ms. Jan Ng began her nursing education role as a Senior Clinical Associate at Tung Wah College in 2018. Ms. Ng graduated in 1992 from the School of Nursing of Queen Elizabeth Hospital and served in the Department of Surgery of Queen Elizabeth Hospital until she left in 2018. During that period, she gained considerable experience in acute surgical care, burn management, upper gastrointestinal and vascular anomalies, and later obtained speciality training in head and neck cancer nursing, and was invited as a speaker at a local university and taught nursing management of head and neck cancers. In 2010, she was actively involved in task groups in the development of guidelines for the transport of critically ill patients in the Kowloon Central Cluster of the Hospital Authority in Hong Kong, and facilitated simulation workshops for a preceptor program of newly graduated nurses. She was an active member and chairperson of a Surgical Nursing Journal Club striving for evidence-based nursing. In 2017 the High Dependency Unit team in Queen Elizabeth Hospital, in which she was a core member, was presented with a Queen Elizabeth Hospital Outstanding Team Award. Her multiple and practical exposures in the nursing field are really valuable assets for training up the nursing students in the College.
