She began her nursing career in 1985 as a student nurse and was promoted to nursing officer in 1994. Throughout her career, she has worked in three Cluster Nursing Services Departments focused on nursing administration, including Quality & Safety, Training & Development, Recruitment & Manpower, Nursing Standards, and Clinical Audit. She has also practised in seven acute, subacute, and rehabilitation hospitals, and various specialties (e.g. infectious diseases, stroke rehabilitation, orthopaedics, infirmary and medical units). Julie holds three specialty nursing certificates in Primary Health Care, Hospital Infection, and Stroke Management.Her leadership skills have been further demonstrated during her tenure as an executive partner at the Human Resources and Business Support Services Departments of the Hospital Authority Head Office (HAHO). In this role, she led critical corporate initiatives to implement the new OSH Ordinance and related regulations, as well as OSH and staff health programmes across HA in 1997, 2001, and 2004. Promoted to Senior Executive Officer/OSH Manager in 2005 and then to Chief Executive Officer/Senior Manager (OSH & Staff Health) in 2020, Julie has consistently prioritized staff safety and wellbeing. She is a Certified Health Executive (ACHSM) and an ACHS (Hong Kong) surveyor, with experience in hospital accreditation through her assessments of public and private hospitals in both Hong Kong and Australia.Julie's decision to join TWC was motivated by her strong commitment to mentor the next generation of nurses.
