Enhancing Indoor Air Quality

To promote healthy indoor environments, and to raise public awareness on the importance of indoor air quality (IAQ), Environment Protection Department (EPD) has launched a voluntary “IAQ Certification Scheme for Offices and Public Places” (the Scheme) since 2003. Tung Wah College (TWC) has always paid great attention to the IAQ and has participated in the Scheme since 2013.

In order to maintain the IAQ in the campus, FMO have implemented the following measures : -

  • To clean the filter of airconditioning units in every 3 months,
  • To use low volatile organic (VOC) compound construction materials in campus buildings, and
  • To clean the carpets in the offices in every 6 months.
