Students will take three clusters of discipline courses in the areas of Health Sciences, HIM and HSM.Q2How has this programme been developed?A2The programme has been developed in accordance with the professional requirements of the competency frameworks and standards of international associations related to HIM and HSM.Q3How relevant is this programme to the latest developments in the healthcare industry in Hong Kong?A3In both the public and private healthcare sectors, there is growing emphasis on the development of Smart Hospitals and Smart Healthcare, and the application of Digital Health and HIM. Health services administrators and executives are increasingly required to apply modern technologies to manage health services at all levels of care.Q4What are the employment opportunities for our graduates?A4Graduates can embark on careers in the public, private and NGO healthcare sectors and take up job positions such as Health Information & Records Officer, Medical Records Officer, Coding Officer, Executive Assistant, Executive Officer II, Health Administrator II, Human Resources Officer, Supporting Services Officer, Customer Service Officer, Marketing Officer, Project Officer, Research Assistant, Procurement Officer, and Facility Management Officer.
