Programme DescriptionThe programme aims to prepare students for professional careers in nursing with competence to deliver high quality patient care and make significant contribution to the health of the community. The objectives are:
to develop students’ competence in health promotion, maintenance and restoration, and prevention of illness through the delivery of primary, secondary and tertiary health care in various hospital and community settings;
to equip students with problem solving and clinical reasoning skills;
to equip students with effective communication skills for the delivery of individualized care as well as for facilitation of teamwork;
to provide students with experiential learning opportunities to facilitate integration of theory and practice in their chosen profession; and
to nurture students’ all-roundness by expanding students’ understanding and appreciation of other cultures and environment.

The above tuition fee is the net programme fees after deduction of SSSDP subsidy from the Government. In 2019/2020 academic year, the annual subsidy is $72,800. The annual subsidy amount may vary in each academic year subject to the decision by the Education Bureau.Senior Year Entry is available- Associate degree / higher diploma holders may apply. The above tuition fee is indicative and it represents 106 credits (referenced to the average number of required credits for graduation for the past two cohorts) at 2019/2020 tuition rate of $3,790 each.
Students should note that the suggested programme structure (2017 Cohort onwards) composes of 118 credits at 2019/2020 tuition rate of $3,790 each, i.e. a total tuition fee of $447,220 (maximum). The actual tuition fee payable will be based on the number of credits required for graduation of the student. The number of credits required for graduation for each student depends on the student’s attainments of advance standing.
The College will adjust the tuition fee of its programmes based on the Composite Consumer Price Index to be announced by the Government annually. Students who are eligible for the Non-means-tested Subsidy Scheme for Self-financing Undergraduate Studies in Hong Kong (NMTSS) will be provided with an annual subsidy. Eligible students enrolling in the relevant programmes only need to pay the tuition fee net of subsidy. In 2019/2020 academic year, the annual subsidy of the NMTSS is $31,300.
