Biography
Ms. Serena Fung is currently a Senior Lecturer in Early Childhood Education of the School of Arts and Humanities (ARH) at Tung Wah College (TWC). She joined Tung Wah College in July 2022. Prior to joining TWC, she was a Lecturer in the Department of Early Childhood, the Education University of Hong Kong (EdUHK). While in EdUHK, she also served as Chairperson of Department of Learning and Teaching Committee, Departmental Management Committee Member, Programme Leader and Practicum Co-ordinator of Diploma in Early Childhood Education (Supporting Learning and Teaching for Non-Chinese Speaking Children), and core member of Centre for Child and Family Science. She also received a Caring Teacher Award in 2020/21.

Serena has substantial teaching experience in both tertiary and pre-primary sector. She is experienced in running play and multicultural projects. Her work included training local Chinese pre-service and in-service kindergarten teachers to become confident and competent practitioners in teaching children with the theory and practice of play, and training NCS teenagers to become teaching assistants in kindergartens. Her expertise in learning and teaching in early childhood education will add a dash of glamour to her research areas of play and multicultural projects.
