- All degree and sub-degree full-time students admitted in or after AY2024/2025 are required to complete an online learning pack for national and value education and receive a passing grade for graduation.
- The National and Values Education (NAVE) online learning pack contains five domains:
Domain 1: Environmental protection and cultural heritage conservation
Domain 2: Social responsibility
Domain 3: National education
Domain 4: Ethics and integrity
Domain 5: Intrapersonal and interpersonal harmony- Students can login to the TWC Blackboard System for more information about NAVE, and the NAVE platform (which will fully function on 1 Sept 2024) for accessing the learning materials and online quizzes.
- Students who have already completed the NSE/NAVE learning pack and receive a passing grade during their prior study at TWC will be deemed as having completed the NAVE learning pack and received a passing grade for the programme they currently enrolled.
National Security Law to HKSAR
- All degree and sub-degree full-time students admitted in AY2022/2023 and AY2023/2024 are required to complete an online National Security Education (NSE) learning pack and receive a passing grade for graduation.
- The NSE learning pack contains four modules:
Module 1: National Security, the legal foundation and rationale of the National Security Law to HKSAR
Module 2: The main content of the National Security Law to HKSAR
Module 3: Implementation of the National Security Law to HKSAR and its effects
Module 4: Questions & Answers on National Security Law legislation and more videos about National Security- Students can login to the TWC Blackboard System for accessing the NSE learning materials and complete the online quiz.
National Security Education in GE Courses
- The following General Education courses are incorporated with National Security Education elements.
Course Code Course Title GEB1011 Thinking about Global Environmental Issues GEB1202 Ethics and Law GEB1305 China and The World GEB1310 Chinese History and Culture GEB1314 Business and Society GED2005 Information Technology and Multimedia Applications - By taking these GE courses, students are able to understand different aspects of national security, such as ecological security, economic security, cultural security and cybersecurity, which are integral to the national security framework.
- All TWC students can freely choose to study these GE courses according to their programme structure and academic plan.
