Biography

Prof. Cathrine Neilsen-Hewett is the Academic Director of Early Years, School of Education, University of Wollongong. Prof Neilsen-Hewett conducts translational work with community and industry partners to support high-quality early childhood education and care practice, enhances the access to ECEC and health services, and fostering effective early learning and development. Her particular expertise in workforce and pedagogical reform along with her work on children’s self-regulation, behaviour and child assessment has impacted educational practice, programs and policy both in Australia and overseas.
