Biography
Cathy obtained her PhD at the University of Hong Kong. She is also a registered kindergarten teacher qualified in Hong Kong and Australia. Her research broadly focused on individual factors to learning, reading and language comprehension development among young learners at 0 – 8 years old, their family influences, and instructional approaches; that included: developing and implementing an integrated model to enhance the quality of childcare services, building quality standards and framework of early childhood education, supporting non‐Chinese speaking kindergarten students to learn Chinese as a second language, and examining reading and language comprehension development in Chinese.
