The appointee will be required but not limited to:
- oversee the overall architecture design of the College IT system and network infrastructure;
- assist in developing policies and procedures to ensure secure, reliable, and efficient operations;
- manage, coordinate, and execute IT projects within the College independently and with vendors;
- manage the College network (routers, switches, Wi-Fi, firewalls), systems (Microsoft 365, Windows, Linux), servers (physical and virtual) and public cloud environments;
- implement IT security controls and conduct security operations;
- evaluate and recommend IT tools and technologies;
- provide after-office-hour standby/emergency support as needed; and
- carry out any additional duties as assigned by the Head or their delegates.
Applicant should:
- possess a Master’s degree or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Engineering or related disciplines;
- have at least 7 years (Master’s) or 10 years (Bachelor’s) of relevant experience, preferably in tertiary education or public organizations;
- have an in-depth understanding of IT infrastructure, including concepts related to networks, global IP routing configurations, LAN/WAN, VPN, Wi-Fi, servers, virtualization technologies, storage backup technologies, Microsoft 365, Active Directory, SharePoint and Windows/Linux administration;
- have real world experience in cloud adoption and integration (AWS, Azure or GCP);
- ideally possess hands-on knowledge of IT security principles and tools, such as firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, SIEM, EDR software and data protection;
- preferably hold certifications in CCNA/CCNP, PMP/PRINCE2, ITIL, cloud technologies or CISSP/CISM;
- be a technically hands-on expert in system and network infrastructure;
- have strong problem-solving and analytical skills;
- be result-oriented, resourceful, proactive, and able to multi-task with high adaptability; and
- have strong sense of responsibility and able to work independently on projects as well as collaborate with the team.
