Scholarship (By Nomination)
 
Selection Criteria Scholarship Amount per Head Total No. to be Offered
  • Applicant should be a permanent resident of Hong Kong
  • Applicant should be studying in Bachelor of Science (Hons) in Applied Gerontology 
  • Applicant should have completed at least the first year of study and attained a cGPA 3.5 or above or equivalent

Selection Criteria Bursary Amount per Head Total No. to be Offered
  • Applicant should be a permanent resident of Hong Kong
  • Applicant should be studying in Bachelor of Science (Hons) in Applied Gerontology 
  • Applicant should have completed at least the first year of study and attained a cGPA 2.8 or above or equivalent
  • Applicant should be able to demonstrate his/her need for financial assistance. The total household income including the Comprehensive Social Security Assistance from the government, and all remittances, alimony or contributions received, should not exceed the following amount*:

  • 1 person                        $9,500
  • 2 persons                      $20,200
  • 3 persons                      $34,500
  • 4 persons                      $43,900
  • 5 persons                      $45,800
  • 6 persons or above       $46,000

* Hong Kong median monthly household income in second quarter of 2023

Note:

All awardees are encouraged to take part in at least three social service/ professional development activities organised by the Alumni Club in 2023/2024 and are obliged to attend the Hong Kong Housing Society Award Presentation Ceremony, which is tentatively scheduled for January 2024.
