Tips for Performing Online Exam

Tips for Performing Online Exam:

 

Tip 1: To test your login credential.

  • Login to Blackboard 1 hour before the test/exam starts. (https://twc.blackboard.com/)
  • The password is case sensitive and please enter carefully.
  • Check you can see and access the test/exam course.
  • If there is any login problem, contact your Course Coordinator or ITSO immediately.

 

Tip 2: Using Desktop or Notebook computers with Windows 10 or above, or Mac OS and avoid using the Mobile and Tablet devices.

 

Tip 3: Stable internet connection and wired connection is preferred. (Do not use mobile hotspot and Free Wi-Fi service)

 

Tip 4: A clean browser, for Windows: Chrome or Firefox; for Mac OS: Chrome or Safari.

  • Reset the browser settings to factory default settings by following instruction if any problem occurred.

Tips 5: If proctoring is required for the Test/Exam, perform the webcam, microphone and speaker tests before the Test/Exam as follows:

  1. Webcam Test
    • Make sure your webcam is connected to your desktop or Notebook computers.
    • Goto https://www.onlinemictest.com/webcam-test/ to perform the webcam test.
    • Click the “play” button on the right-hand side.
    • Click “allow” if you see a question in the browser.
    • If you can see on your screen the image that your webcam is taking, that means your webcam is works correctly!
  2. Microphone Test
    • Make sure your microphone device is connected to your desktop or Notebook computers.
    • Goto https://www.onlinemictest.com/ to perform the microphone test.
    • Click the “play” button on the right-hand side.
    • Click “allow” if you see a question in the browser.
    • If the line in right hand side box is responding to sounds, then that means the mic works!
  3. Speaker Test
    • Make sure your speaker device is connected to your desktop or Notebook computers and the volume is on.
    • Goto https://www.onlinemictest.com/sound-test/ to perform the speaker test.
    • Click the left and right “play” button.
    • You should hear the sound and that means the speaker works!
