Library User Survey 2023

 
The Library Users Survey 2023 was conducted from 6 November to 12 December 2023 to collect comments and suggestions on our services, resources and facilities. There are more than 800 users filled out the questionnaire and provided valuable comments and suggestions to the Library.
 
The Library would like to thank all who have participated in the survey. All comments are useful for planning the Library’s future service delivery and development. To express our gratitude to all participants, the Library held a lucky draw and sponsors provided more than 20 generous gifts to the lucky draw winners.

The prize presentation ceremony was successfully held on 31 January 2024 at the KPC Library. Congratulations to all prize draw winners!

“Is there any plans to the renovate the discussion room on the second floor of the library. They are not sound proof which means if the people are having a loud discussion they would affect the people outside studying”
 
Comments well noted. The Library will discuss the issue with relevant departments.
“Please turn the temp. of ac a bit upper, its just very very very cold even with my coat on”
Thermometers have been placed at different locations to monitor the indoor temperature. Users may inform our staff to adjust the temperature in the public area and they may also adjust the temperature of the air conditioner in computer laboratories and quiet study rooms themselves.
 
Resources
“I think it's wise to expand the inventory, especially of fictional books. Currently there;s one shelf about literature. Increasing some clasics would be a wise move as it could liberate, enlighten Tung Wah student which is in line with the goal of our college. Please highly consider this advice. I always enjoy your service. Thank you!!”
 
The Library will continue to develop and strengthen its collections to meet the evolving teaching, learning and research demands of our College. If users have any recommendation on acquisition of the item, please feel free to send us the details by email.

“It is not attractive enough to spend time on it. Although the workshop does provide useful information that we need, consider to add the recording in to the library website may be a good idea. So that students could watch the video whenever they need but not in a one time workshop.”

Since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic, the Library has conducted workshops in hybrid mode. Also, users may relive the online workshops via Blackboard at: https://www.twc.edu.hk/subjects_plus/subjects/guide.php?subject=workshops
 
Users are welcome to request a tailor-made Library workshop, please let us know the details such as the topic, program, course code, date and time, duration and number of users at least 2 weeks in advance.

The Library has extended its opening hours for mid-term examination and final examination. The Library will review the effectiveness to make further actions.
